[open] « Thread Started on Jun 17, 2008, 11:03pm » Ana was alone, big surprize there it was 3:ooam and she had been wondering the halls aimlessly in search of a new place to hide away from other people, like she always did. You are something shy of a loser Ana aren't you? Regan was a little voice in her head. He was always burtaly mean to her. She believed that Regan was the reason she didn't talk to people. Because, if they coould be as mean as him she would die. She loved to be alone if it ment she didn't have to talk to people and or, see them angry. She was stopped in mid-step, she heard a nosie. If the professors see me I'm dead meat. she thought and ran into the first door she found. It looked like an old potions room. She took a seat on a table and waited for the nosies to subside. Emma was jogging/running the third floor where all the empty classes were. She was one of her favorite animals to be. AKA a reddish orange fox. Only one bad thing about being a fox inside: your long nails make a lot of noise on the tiles. Oh well no one comes to this floor anyways. Wait what was that? Was that a door? Another good thing about being a fox is you get pretty good hearing. Emma changed her ears to bats so she could hear EVERYTHING on the entire floor. There breathing in that classroom. So Emma turned into a beetle and squeezed under the door to see who it was. Angela Grammatik. Should I scare her? No she has never done anything bad by me. Then again it would be fun. No I’m not that mean. Emma turned herself around and squeezed back under the door and changed back to a human. I should at least say hi to her. So Emma walked into the room with an excused brewing in her head. "Oh, hi Angela. Sorry I did not mean to intrude I was just looking for a good spot to read my book in peace. People are constantly bugging me when I read." "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude and bother your reading spot." Ana is a very shy gal and this was the first time she had gotten into a real conversation with someone. She looked down as she spoke . "I um.....I'll leave" She didn't wanna start anything, but then again she didn't wanna go either. But, for the best she began to walk towards the door. "What love, being rude in your choice of mood today?" Regan whispered in her head. Ana shook her head, and touched the door knob. So your not going to introduce yourself? No, I'm not going too. It's better this way. She choked back tears. Being forgotten is better... She remembered her family, and how they had forgotten to write to her for the past three months. And how she longed to hear from them, but they had seemed to forget about her. "They don't matter love, and neither do you." She nodded and let a tear fall, Regan has taken over her life. You don’t have to go.” Emma instantly felt guilty when she saw a tear fall off the girl’s cheek. “I’m sure we could share the spot. Or better yet we could hang out together. There is only one thing that beats a good book and that’s a conversation with an actual living person.” She looks sad. Well maybe I can cheer her up or try. Emma was the one that all of her friends go to if they need to talk to someone. Sometimes, though, when she does gives advice, it makes things worse, especially when you are giving advice to both sides of an argument. Oh, well I don’t even really know the girl so I can’t do any harm here. And I won’t give her advice like I did all the other times. Frequently she has been told by her friends that listening is okay. Just don’t give advice. So, I am just going to listen to her and try to cheer her up. Unless she runs away. Which would be bad. Hey, I’ll ask her favorite animal! I went and sat on top of one of the desks. “So, do you have a favorite animal?” She waited so that she could change into what ever animal she said. I hope it is not a fish. Wiping the tear away without making a big deal of it she answered her in a whisper that was loud enough to hear. "Penguin" It was strange no one had even asked her once to stay with them before. Let only stop her from leaving. Maybe this gal wasn't so bad after all. Ana smiled weakly and faced the gal. To see if anything else would be asked of her. She smiled as she dug a bright red ball out of her bag. “Catch.” She didn’t look if she caught it or not. Quickly she changed into an emperor penguin and found the ball on the floor. She scooped it up with her nose and started to balance it on her nose like a seal. When she didn’t hear anything she started to bounce it on her nose. Let’s see what she makes of that! She loved penguins! "Oh my god! That's amazing! Thank you so much!" She screamed with happiness. She was so happy right now. This had made her night. She let out laughter that she hadn't felt in a while. And smiled at the gal. [b"I'm Ana. Thanks so much for making me laugh. I need it is so much, you have no clue."[/b] She relaxed a little more and was being herself now. Your a fake Ana, you are sad inside you are nothing worth nothing. You are nothing. Ryan whispered in her head, she ignored him for once. And decided that tonight, she was going to be herself and do something out of her comfort zone. Emma phased back to human. “I’m glad you enjoyed that.” She threw the ball in the air and caught it again. A smile erupted on her lips. “By the way, I’m Emma. I can take the form of any animal I choose. It’s a handy trick when you want to scare someone with spiders.” Emma shuttered. She hated spiders. “So, you never did say why you are cooped up it this stinky old classroom at—“she looked at the watch that she didn’t have. With a sigh she pulled her cell phone out of the front pocket of her bag. It told her it was 3:07am. Damn. I guess foxes don’t really pay much attention to time seeing as last I knew it was 10pm. “Damn. Is it really 3:07am? Well that makes my even more curious. So what are you doing in here?... Wait. Don’t answer that. I don’t want to make you say anything you don’t want to, and I am guessing you won’t want to answer that, so I’m just going to shut up about it.” The last part she said in a rush (and all in one breath Emma was happy to say.) “Sorry, sometimes I talk too much.” She said with a small smile. “So, why don’t you tell me about yourself? Or, if you prefer, I can talk some more about the animals I can change into. She talks a lot. But, maybe that is what I needs, a friend that talks to me maybe even someone that will teaches me to to not be so shy. I guess that will have to wait, maybe. Ana was weak in her voice when she said. "I don't talk much Emma. I'm quite and shy. I hide down here so people don't find me or talk to me. I freeze up when people talk to me." Literaly She thought to herself remembering that day with Jenny. "I guess, I'm a little shy." She admitied to Emma. She liked Emma she seemed like a cool gal to hang out with. Well, maybe some of my talkativeness will rub off me to her if I hang out with her enough. Then again I’m not too different then her. I can be totally shy to. Well maybe if I focus on helping her not be shy it will help me not be shy. Emma thought about it. It sounded promising. “Sorry, I kind of foiled your evil plan of hiding. And look at that. You’re not frozen, and you said four complete sentences! I guess I’m better at this than I thought.” She laughed quietly. Do I keep talking or try to get her talking again? Arg! I’m no good at this. Again she laughed quietly as she contradicted herself. Ok, I’ll go to a safe subject that I know we both like. Penguins. “So, what do you like about penguins?” As Emma said this she formulated a plan in her head. Just try to keep her talking so she feels more confident. And try not to look like you have no idea what you are doing. She put on a hopefully convincing smile to encourage her. OK, now all you have to do is be your normaly funny self and try not to freak her out. Aka act like you are talking to a normal person for once in your life.
